Former Feds Body Doubling Support + Strategy Group

Ezra from Beat the Bots Resume Services and I are hosting a once-a-month-ish support session for

  • illegally fired federal employees (including probationary employees and recent hires who had not started their positions yet)

  • government contractors

  • folks who have been recently let go from positions that depended on federal funding

  • current feds/etc who are worried about reductions in force

who would like to get out of the house and be around some people in a similar situation.

What is “Body Doubling?” Body Doubling is a strategy for getting and staying on task, where you agree to meet with someone else, either in person or virtually, and just by having someone else kinda looking at you, you are less likely to devolve into doomscrolling. If you’ve ever gone to a library or coffeeshop because you focus better there, you get the idea.

Plan: Community, snacks, a bit of supportive quiet time to work on personal projects or job search, breakout area to meet with Ezra and discuss your resume formatting.
